Ken Engel founded Engel Professional Association in 1998, following a successful career in real estate development, construction, finance, and business turnarounds. He brings over 20 years of practical experience advising clients on complex real estate, distressed asset, and corporate restructuring matters.
Ken earned his J.D. magna cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law and is admitted to practice in Minnesota, Wisconsin, the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
He has served on the Minnesota Lawyers Professional Responsibility Board—including as vice-chair—the Minnesota 4th District Ethics Committee, and held advisory roles with several community and professional organizations, including the Jewish Community Relations Council of Minnesota & the Dakotas and Generations of the Shoah International. In 2013, he was recognized as Volunteer of the Year by the Minnesota Lawyers Professional Responsibility Board.
Ken’s legal practice includes business law, real estate transactions, litigation, estate planning, and trust litigation. He represents individuals, families, and businesses throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin, including borrowers, owners, developers, and corporate clients facing complex transactions or legal disputes.
